Here is what some of the blues music press are saying
SOUL BAG MAGAZINE
"A SET OF UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES PROMPTED GILES ROBSON TO RECORD THIS RECORD IN HIS OWN NAME WITH A NEW GROUP AT THE LAST MINUTE, CAUSING IT TO FOCUS ON A VERY BLUES ORIENTATED REPERTOIRE.
THIS ALLOWS THEM PLAY TOGETHER LEAVING ROOM FOR INDIVIDUALISTIC STYLES TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES AND THERE ARE TWO HERE.
GILES IS IMPRESSIVE ON THE HARMONICA, PLAYING CLASSIC ULTRA-BLUESY PHRASES, AND ALSO SEQUENCES OF HIS OWN WITH A DEXTERITY, A FEELING THAT IS STAGGERING. HE IS ALSO A GOOD SINGER, WITH A SLIGHTLY DISTORTED SOUND THAT IS VERY EFFECTIVE.
THE DISK IS ALSO WORTHY DUE TO THE DELIVERY OF THE GUITARIST ANDY KNIGHT, WITH HIS ROUGH AND RHYTHMIC DOWN HOME STYLE, ALMOST WEST SIDE-ESQUE IN SOLOS WITH A NICE RESTRAINT. THE INSTRUMENTALS SHOW THAT THEY KNOW HOW TO BOTH STRETCH OUT WITHOUT BEING BORING, THANKS TO AN IMPECCABLE RHYTHM SECTION (JEFF WALKER AND DARREN CROME).
THE DISC ENDS WITH A BRAVURA INSTRUMENTAL PIECE A TRIBUTE TO LITTLE WALTER OF SEVEN MINUTES WHERE GILES MANAGES TO EVOKE HIS MASTER WHILE KEEPING HIS OWN PERSONALITY".
AHEAD OF THE RELEASE OF OUR ALBUM "FOR THOSE WHO NEED THE BLUES" V2 RECORDS HAD THIS TO SAY ABOUT IT:
"Once in a while an album appears that adds new impetus to the feel and spirit of the old school bedrock blues in which the classic sounds of the early Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Red Devils and Little Walter echo".
